Bad Husband Material

He’s the man your mother warned you about—and now he’s your husband. Sort of.

When Ada Smith, an American math teacher, moves into her dream cottage in London, there's just one tiny problem: her new "husband" Matt Smith - a charming PE teacher she's never actually married, or even dated. Thanks to a rental mix-up with elderly landlords who insist on renting to a settled couple, these two strangers find themselves playing house.

Ada has enough on her plate dealing with difficult students and starting afresh after all her dreams have gone up in smoke. The last thing she needs is a fake marriage to the school's most notorious flirt. Even if he does have a surprising knack for thoughtful gestures, everyone knows he is bad husband material.

Matt has no problem playing house with the striking new maths teacher. She’s everything he’s ever dreamt about. And he’s never yet met a woman who wouldn’t happily fall into his bed. But something is wrong with his usual magic touch. Although he’s pulling out all his best moves, somehow Ada keeps slipping out of reach.

Between awkward encounters, staff room gossip, and maintaining their marital charade for their sweet but nosy neighbours, will Ada and Matt discover that sometimes the best relationships start with a little white lie... and perhaps a strategically misplaced towel?

A charming British romantic comedy about finding love with the last person you'd expect – your husband.
